Our Nitrogen Generators operates on Pressure Swing Adsorption, commonly known as P S A Technology. P S A Technology is based on the selective adsorption phenomena of gas molecules under pressure on the surface of highly porous and efficient adsorbent, In this case of Nitrogen Generation the Adsorbent is carbon based Molecular Sieve (C.M.S.) In P S A System when compressed air is passed through a adsorption tower field with C.M.S. the molecules of oxygen, moisture & other unwanted gases are adsorbed on surface of C.M.S. and Nitrogen which is not adsorbed by C.M.S. comes out of adsorption tower and is collected in a surge vessel. For continuous generation of nitrogen two Adsorption towers are provided which are interconnected with Auto change over valves controlled by PLC in the control panel. After saturation of one tower with oxygen the process automatically changes over to another tower and thus the nitrogen production is continuous. Our systems are the best ones in industry to ensure the highest efficiency, user friendly design, Reliable Economical and Durable. Our onsite nitrogen generators are custom made and can be adjusted to give the desired nitrogen quality for your process and application.
• The Nitrogen Gas Generator is Skid mounted and Pre-commissioned at our works.
• These are fully automatic and require virtually no attention of the Operator.
• Once started it can be left-un-attended.
• All operations take place automatically and Nitrogen Purity remains very consistent.
• In case of any abnormality the gas Generator would trip automatically with Audio Visual Alarms for Necessary action.
• In case of Storage Tank Getting Filled the Gas Generator Goes to Sleep and restarts once the pressure in storage Tank is Reduces to set Limit.
• Reliability of operation second to none.
• High efficiency operation (lowers your power costs).
• One of the largest product offerings in the industry.
• Customized engineering to meet your process requirements.
• Minimal space requirement.
• Your own independent on-site supply of nitrogen.
• Remote monitoring and control already proven in many references.
• Proprietary CMS utilized .
• Long-term commitment to R&D utilizing integrated, fully-functioning pilot facility.
• Ability to custom design our larger nitrogen generator plants to your specific requirements.
1. FEED AIR COMPRESSION AND CONDITIONING
The ambient (inlet) air is compressed by an air compressor, subsequently dried by an air dryer and filtered before entering the process vessels.
2. PRESSURIZATION AND ADSORPTION
The pre-treated air is passed into a vessel filled with Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) where the oxygen is adsorbed preferentially in the CMS pores so that nitrogen with an adjustable purity (down to a residual O2 content of 50 ppm) remains in the gas stream. Before the adsorption capacity of the CMS is fully utilized, the nitrogen separation process is interrupted, and the switching of the adsorber vessels is initiated.
3. DESORPTION
The saturated CMS is regenerated (i.e. the adsorbed gases are released) by means of pressure reduction below that of the adsorption step. This is achieved by a simple pressure release system. The resultant waste stream is vented into atmosphere. The regenerated adsorbent can now be used again for the generation of nitrogen.
4. NITROGEN RECEIVER
Adsorption and desorption take place alternately at equal time intervals. This means that the continuous generation of nitrogen can be achieved with two adsorbers, one being switched at adsorption and the other at regeneration. Constant product flow and purity is ensured by a connected product buffer vessel that stores the nitrogen at purities up to 99.995% and pressures up to 7.5 bar(g) / 110 psig.
5. OPTIONAL BACKUP SYSTEM
6. NITROGEN PRODUCT
The result is a constant stream of on-site produced high purity nitrogen at cost significantly below that of liquid or bottled gases.
